SYMPTOMS

When you add a second storage card to your handheld device, the name of the first storage card may change after a suspend/resume cycle. For example, when the system is on, the first storage card my be renamed from "Storage Card". After a suspend/resumen cyle the storage card might be renamed from "Storage Card" to "Storage Card 2" or "Slot 2", and the card that was "Slot 2" will be rename to "Storage Card" (the names of the storage cards are swapped).

This can be an issue if you install a program on your first storage card and then install a second storage card. Your program may not recognize the new name of the storage card.

CAUSE

After a suspend/resumen cyle the storage card might be renamed from "Storage Card" to "Storage Card 2" or "Slot 2", and the card that was "Slot 2" will be rename to "Storage Card" (the names of the storage cards are swapped).

RESOLUTION

To prevent this behavior from occurring:
  1. Turn off the handheld device and remove both storage cards.
  2. Turn on the device.
  3. Insert the first storage card into a storage card slot.
  4. Insert the second storage card into the remaining storage card slot.
