PUB2000: Floppy is not Recognized When Using Pack and Go (218648)

SYMPTOMS

After you save your publication, you may receive the following message when you use the Pack and Go feature in Microsoft Publisher with the Take to another computer option selected: 
   Please Insert a disk into the disk drive.

CAUSE

Publisher is unable to determine if the drive is accessible.

The above message may be resulting from either a non-formatted disk in the drive, a damaged diskette, or the floppy drive is not functioning properly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following resolutions.
  • Format the existing diskette.
  • Insert a new diskette into the floppy disk drive.
  • Confirm that the floppy disk drive if functioning properly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
