The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

This article was previously published under Q218241
NOTE: The procedures in this article only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. With this option, you can use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, click About Microsoft Outlook on the Help menu. If you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation, you see "Corporate or Workgroup".

SYMPTOMS

Using the Outlook Support for Lotus cc:Mail Service tool, Import cc:Mail Folders, you import folders from the cc:Mail post office. Some of the post office folders contain subfolders. When the import is complete, you find that the parent folder appears in the list of imported folders, but the subfolders are not present.

RESOLUTION

Using the cc:Mail client, move the messages in the subfolder to an existing or newly created folder at the parent level. Repeat this process for any subfolders you wish to import.

In Outlook, perform the import again, selecting the new folder or folders to import. After this operation is complete, you can create a subfolder of the Outlook personal folder and move the messages into this folder.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
