TCP/IP Experiences STOP 0x7F Under Heavy Load (216765)

Under high load, a server may experience the following STOP error message:
0x7F (UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP):
0x0000007f (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
The first parameter, 0x08, indicates that this is a double-fault.
CAUSE
For deferred processing, TCP/IP is calling a function recursively. Under high load, this recursion can cause a stack overflow.
RESOLUTION
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft,
but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.
