The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

This article was previously published under Q216130
NOTE: The procedures in this article only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. With this option, you can use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, click About Microsoft Outlook on the Help menu. If you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation, you see "Corporate or Workgroup".

SYMPTOMS

You are using Outlook to receive mail through a cc:Mail post office. Messages sent to you from a 32-bit cc:Mail client with graphics files embedded in the message body contain an attachment with the name, "Untitled." The graphics file may be unusable if you save it.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the technology used by Lotus to embed objects in a cc:Mail message differs from that used in Outlook.

RESOLUTION

Request that graphics files be sent to you as standard file attachments.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 2000.
