SYMPTOMS

If a Matrox G-100 video adapter is installed in your computer, you may be unable to play Microsoft Close Combat III: The Russian Front.

After you download the self-extracting file containing the latest video driver for the G-100 video adapter from the Matrox Web site to a folder on your hard disk, follow these steps to install the video driver:

  1. Open the folder on your hard disk to which you downloaded the self-extracting file from the Matrox Web site.
  2. Double-click this file to extract the driver files.

    NOTE: Do not double-click the Setup.exe file after you extract the driver files.
  3. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  4. Double-click Display.
  5. On the Settings tab, click Change Display Type.

    NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2), click Advanced Properties, and if you are using Microsoft Windows 98, click Advanced.
  6. Under Adapter, click Change.

    NOTE: If you are using OSR2 or Windows 98, click the Adapter tab, and then click Change.
  7. If you are using Windows 98, click Next, click "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want," and then click Next.

    If you are using Microsoft Windows 95 or OSR2, skip to step 8.
  8. Click Have Disk.
  9. In the Copy Manufacturer's Files From box, type the path to the folder containing the extracted driver files, and then click OK.
  10. In the Models box, click the model of video adapter installed in your computer, and then click OK.
  11. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the video driver. If you are prompted to restart your computer, do so.
