XL2000: Text Is Not Printed in Accessibility Mode (214516)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel 2000

This article was previously published under Q214516

SYMPTOMS

When you are printing a Microsoft Excel document, your printer acts like it is printing, but the printer output appears to be blank paper.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you are using the high contrast Accessibility mode with the white-on-black color scheme.

Some older printer drivers may not reverse the font color; therefore, the printer attempts to print a white font on a white background.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, contact the manufacturer of your printer to obtain a newer driver and instructions for installing the driver.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a colored font that is easily visible on a white background when printed.

To change the color of the font, click Font Color on the Standard toolbar, and then select an appropriate color.
