WD2000: Grammatical Errors Not Found in Headers, Footers, or Comments (214192)

Grammatical errors in the header, footer, or comment area of a Word
document are not detected.
CAUSE
Word does not check grammar in a header, footer, or comment.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- In the header, footer, or comment, select the text you want to check.
- On the Edit menu, click Cut.
- Close the header, footer, or comment.
- In the main body of the document, create a new paragraph.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- Word now flags the errors for correction.
- After you have accepted or rejected any suggested corrections, select
the text.
- On the Edit menu, click Cut.
- Position the insertion point in the header, footer, or comment at the
location where you want to place the corrected text.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
