This article describes a simple formula to calculate the number of weekdays (workdays) between two dates.

You can use the following formula to find the number of weekdays between two dates, where cell A1 contains the beginning date and cell A2 contains the ending date:

=NETWORKDAYS(A1,A2)

If the NETWORKDAYS function is not available, you must run the Microsoft Excel Setup program and install the Analysis ToolPak. After you install the Analysis ToolPak, you must enable it by using the Add-Ins command on the Tools menu.
