Problems with SoundBlaster Live and Windows 2000 (211241)

SYMPTOMS

When you restart your computer after loading and selecting the "8MB midi bank" in the AudioHQ SoundFont program included with the Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live sound card, you may receive the following error message on a blue screen:
STOP 0x00000050 (0xA4245000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Note that the first parameter may vary.

CAUSE

This issue can occur because some of the programs included with the Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live sound card are not totally compatible with Windows 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Creative Labs to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

To work around this issue, uninstall the Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live sound card.
