This article was previously published under Q210785

SYMPTOMS

When you publish a Microsoft Excel PivotTable report, some data field values in the resulting Microsoft Office PivotTable list may be displayed as 0, even though the data field in the source Excel PivotTable report does not contain any zero values.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • One of the fields that you add to the data area of your Excel PivotTable report contains blank values.

    -and-

  • You are using the Min function to summarize the data field.
The Office PivotTable component calculates a value of 0 for blank values, but Excel PivotTable reports do not include blank values in numeric calculations.
