XL2000: Clicking Close Button Does Not Dismiss UserForm (210759)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Close button to close the active UserForm, the UserForm is not closed.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The UserForm contains a Refedit control.

    -and-

  • The Refedit control is collapsed when you attempt to close the UserForm.

WORKAROUND

Click the Close button a second time to close the UserForm.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
