Golf 99: Startup Screen Is Not Redrawn When You Quit a Round (210513)

When you quit a round in Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition, a black screen may be displayed instead of the startup screen.
NOTE: If you move the pointer over the button positions on the black screen, you can still hear the button sounds, and the game music
continues to play.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if your Microsoft Windows color palette setting
is 256 colors.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, increase your Windows color palette setting to High Color (16-bit). To do this, follow these steps:
- Press ALT+F4 to quit Golf 99.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click
Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- In the Color Palette or Colors box, click High
Color (16-bit).
- Click OK. If you are prompted to restart the computer,
do so.
