OL2000: Outlook Does Not Save Free Appointment Time Correctly with the vCalendar Format (207815)

SYMPTOMS

You save a Microsoft Outlook appointment that has the Show time as field set to free to a vCalendar (.vcal) file. When you later open the vCalendar file in Outlook, the appointment Show time as field is now busy.

CAUSE

Outlook does not correctly save the Show time as field when using the vCalendar format.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 2000.
