SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to open an Address Book from the Finder, you receive the following error message:
The document "<Filename>" could not be opened, because the application "Address Book Library" could not be found. Could not find a translation extension with appropriate translators.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, do not attempt to open an Address Book from the Finder. Open an Address Book through a Microsoft Office program.
