This article was previously published under Q204149 SYMPTOMS
If you copy text to the clipboard, click Insert WordArt on the Drawing toolbar, and click OK in the WordArt Gallery dialog box, you cannot paste the copied text into the text box in the Edit WordArt Text dialog box.
CAUSE
Although you can paste into any cell or text box with COMMAND+V, there is no Edit or Paste command available on the menu bar when the Edit WordArt Text dialog box appears. COMMAND+V does not paste previously copied text. If you cancel the Edit WordArt Text dialog box, you can use COMMAND+V or click Paste on the Edit menu and paste the previously copied text into a cell.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONCopy (COMMAND+C), Cut (COMMAND+X), Paste (COMMAND+V), and their corresponding menu choices are generally not supported in the dialog boxes of the Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition programs.
