WD97: Edit/Replace Changes Formatting of Previous Table Cells (198079)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Replace command to find and change the formatting of text inside a table, the formatting change is made to the desired text and is also applied to the text in the cells to the left of the cell being changed.

WORKAROUND

Use the Replace All command. The formatting changes will only be applied to the text in the desired table cells.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
