To import Goldmine information into Outlook, you must first export the file from Goldmine in .dbf format.

Export the Goldmine File

  1. With the Goldmine database open, on the Tools menu, click Export Records.
  2. Click to select DBF File as the Data Format and click Next.
  3. Under Get Filename, type the path and file name you want, or click Browse and select the export location you want, for example:

    C:\my documents\mydata.dbf

    Click Next twice.
  4. Click Finish. Goldmine reports how many records were exported and the elapsed time. Click OK.

Import File into Outlook

  1. On the File menu, click Import And Export.
  2. Click "Import from another Program or file," and click Next.
  3. Click to select dBase and click Next.
  4. Enter the path to the file to import and click Next.
  5. Click to select the folder to import the file into, such as Contacts. Click Next.
  6. Click Map Custom Fields. Drag the field names in the From box to the correct field in the To box. Click OK, and then click Finish.
