This article was previously published under Q197476 SUMMARY
When you print from Microsoft Outlook, you can print the user name in the
header or footer of the page. Outlook gets this information from the
name of the e-mail services in the profile that is currently being used.
MORE INFORMATION
When printing a report from Outlook, you can add predefined fields to the
header and footer of your page. One of these fields is the user name; many
of the reports in Outlook include this field by default. Outlook looks at
the name of the e-mail services in the current profile to determine what to
use for the user name.
Internet Mail Only (IMO)
If you set up Outlook with the Internet Mail Only option, the user name
field for the header and footer are the same as your default mail account
name. If you have no mail account, the user name is "Unknown."
Corporate or Workgroup (CW)
If you set up Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option using an
Internet E-mail service, the user name field for the header and footer is
the same as your user information "Name" field as specified under the
General tab of the Internet E-mail service properties.
If you set up Outlook (CW) using an Exchange service, the user name field
for the header and footer is the same as your mailbox name as specified
under the General tab of the Exchange Server service properties.
If there is more than one e-mail service in a profile, the one the name is
taken from depends on which e-mail services are present. Certain services
take precedence over others. For example, if your profile includes
Microsoft Exchange Server, the user name from your Exchange mailbox will be
used regardless of what other services are in the profile.
No E-mail
If you set up Outlook with the no e-mail option, the user name field for
the header and footer is "Unknown."
