Error 50003: Error Dropping Indexes with Japanese Version (197458)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to import log files over the network via a UNC path into Site Server Usage Analyst, the following error may be encountered when you run Usage Analyst on the Japanese version of Windows NT:
Error 50003 S1000 [Microsoft][odbc] ...........Japanese text........Error dropping indexes.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, manually copy the log files to the local computer before running the import.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 2.0.
