XADM: Cannot Filter Junk E-mail on Blank "From" Field (197405)

SYMPTOMS

When you receive junk e-mail with a blank From field and attempt to setup an inbox rule to filter it out, you will not be able to filter on a blank From field.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server version 5.5. For more information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND

Try to filter on other fields like the Subject field, for example.
