SYMPTOMS

When you play Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator, the mouse pointer may behave erratically. When you move the pointer and click the buttons on your pointing device, the expected action may take place in a different location than the location of the pointer on the screen.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the graphics settings in the game are set to a screen resolution below 640 x 480.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, increase the screen resolution in the game. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. On the Combat Flight Simulator startup screen, click Settings.
  2. Click to select the Enable Hardware Acceleration check box, and then click Advanced Display Settings.
  3. In the Full Screen Resolution box, click 640 x 480 x 16 or higher.
  4. Click OK, and then click OK again.
