SYMPTOMS

When you set up an appointment in a secondary calendar, you will not be notified if the new appointment conflicts with an existing appointment.

CAUSE

Calendar options that require an action such as notification of conflicting appointments only apply to your primary calendar. The primary calendar is determined by the delivery location of your e-mail. Microsoft Outlook applies these actions to only one calendar per user session. There is no mechanism to apply these actions to other calendars.

MORE INFORMATION

To use another calendar as your primary calendar, change the delivery location of your e-mail. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. If the Folder List is not showing, click Folder List on the View menu.
  2. Right-click the Personal Folders you want your mail delivered to, and then click Properties For "Personal Folders" on the shortcut menu.
  3. Click to select the "Deliver POP mail to this personal folders file" check box.
