OL98: Navigation Keys Do Not Function in Reply to E-mail Message (196458)

SYMPTOMS

When you reply to an open e-mail message, the navigation keys on the keyboard do not work (the ARROW keys, PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, and so on).

CAUSE

The e-mail option, "Close original message on reply or forward," is selected. To find this option, click Options on the Tools menu, and on the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior occurs only if you are using Word as your e-mail editor, and when you are replying to an opened e-mail message. This does not occur if you are replying to a message that is only highlighted in your Inbox.
