Server Responds to PAP Client on Different AppleTalk Node (195822)

Server applications using the AppleTalk Printer Access Protocol (PAP) may
respond to client connection requests on a different AppleTalk address to
that on which the original request was received.
This behavior may cause issues for client applications that do not tolerate
a change of network and node number during PAP connection establishment.
CAUSE
AppleTalk Transaction Protocol (ATP) addresses were not being correctly
closed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
