OL2000: Non-Standard 5-Day Work Week View Displayed Incorrectly (195366)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

This article was previously published under Q195366

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Outlook, clicking in the small navigation calendar to select a 5-day workweek view may display the wrong week.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

When viewing a 5-day workweek you can select the week you wish to view by clicking one of the days of that week in the small navigation calendar. However, if you have chosen a non-standard workweek, such as Sunday through Thursday, clicking the Saturday of the week you wish to select will display the next workweek rather than the workweek containing that Saturday.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Click to select the Calendar folder. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Preferences tab, click Calendar Options.
  3. Under Calendar Work Week, click to select the Sunday through Thursday check boxes, and click OK twice.
  4. On the View menu, click "5 Work Week."
  5. In the small navigation calendar, click to select any Friday. NOTE: The 5-day view displays the work week containing that Friday, as expected.
  6. In the small navigation calendar, click to select any Saturday. NOTE: The 5-day view displays the work week for the following week.
