Err Msg: Microsoft Golf '98 Cannot Be Run in Large Font Mode (194459)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start Microsoft Golf 1998 Lite, you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Golf '98 cannot be run in large font mode.
If you click Cancel, you are returned to Windows. If you click OK, the Display Properties dialog box opens on the screen.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because Golf 1998 Lite is not compatible with the Large Fonts display setting.

NOTE: Microsoft Golf 1998 Edition is also not compatible with the Large Fonts display setting.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the Font Size display setting to Small Fonts. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
  4. In the Font Size box under Display, click Small Fonts.
  5. Click Apply, and then click Close.
  6. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
