Deleting Project Files May Cause High CPU Utilization on Target (192426)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Site Server 3.0
This article was previously published under Q192426 SYMPTOMS
Deleting Content Deployment project files on the source may cause high CPU
utilization on a destination server when the project is automatic and has
include or exclude filters.
CAUSE
The append function for ASCII (non-unicode) strings is setting the string
length incorrectly to include the null terminator. This causes Content
Deployment to loop continuously, appending a character.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Site Server 3.0.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. This problem was first corrected in Site Server version 3.0 Service Pack 1.
