SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Outlook 98, if you use the e-mail option, "Include and indent original message text" when you forward or reply to a message, the included original message is not indented from the left margin.

CAUSE

If the original message format is plain text, indentation does not occur in the reply or forwarded message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98.

MORE INFORMATION

"Include and indent original message text" functions as expected if the original message format is Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook Rich Text, or HTML.
