PRB: Cannot Set Default Languages for All New Web Projects (190677)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0
This article was previously published under Q190677 SYMPTOMS
You cannot set the default server and client-side scripting
languages for all new Web projects. There are no options in the New Web Project Wizard or in the Options dialog box (from the Tools menu) to set the default server and client-side scripting languages for Web projects at the time they are created.
RESOLUTION
You must manually set the defaults for each new Web project that you create. One way to do this is to right-click the Web project node in the Project Explorer, and then click Properties. You can then set and apply the default scripting languages on the Editor Defaults tab of the Property pages.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
