BUG: Parameter Info Tooltip Does Not Appear (190676)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0
This article was previously published under Q190676 SYMPTOMS
When you write server-side or client-side script, if you use the shorthand notation to access the members of a collection, the Parameter Info tooltip
does not appear.
CAUSE
The Parameter Info tooltips appear only when you type the name of a method.
If you use the shorthand notation to access a collection object, the
name of a method is not actually typed, so the Parameter Info tooltip does
not appear.
RESOLUTION
If you want to see the Parameter Info tooltip when you access a collection
object, do not use the shorthand notation. For instance, type the following text
window.frames.item(
instead of this:
window.frames(
