If you apply borders to the font properties in FrontPage Editor, the border
appears in FrontPage Editor but not in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
CAUSE
Internet Explorer does not display the inline style properly.
RESOLUTION
To display a border around a block of text, apply the border style to the
Paragraph rather than the font. To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the text.
- Right-click the text and then click Paragraph Properties on the menu
that appears.
- Click Style.
- Click the Borders tab. Set the options you want and click OK.
- Click OK.
HTML code similar to the following will be inserted:
<p style="border: 2px solid">Some text.</p>
Note that the style attribute is applied directly to the paragraph tag.
