SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition, the only method for converting or importing Personal Address Books is to convert addresses from the Word 5.1 Address Book.

This conversion happens automatically the first time that you start Word if Word finds the Word 5.1 Toolbar Preferences file in the Preferences folder. NOTE: Word 98 cannot convert addresses stored in third-party databases to Word 98 Personal Address Books. You must reenter the addresses.
