SYMPTOMS

If you try to remove a Microsoft Windows 98 Game Pack that you downloaded from the Windows Update Web site, the Games Pack may not appear in the list that is in the Install/Uninstall tab of the Add/Remove Programs dialog box.

RESOLUTION

You can use either of the following methods to remove the Windows 98 Games Pack.

Using Add/Remove Programs

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click the Windows Setup tab, click to select Accessories, and then click Details.
  4. Click to clear the Games check box, and then click OK.

Using the Windows Update Catalog

  1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:
  2. Click Product updates.
  3. After the catalog appears, click Show Installed Updates.
  4. Click Uninstall next to the Windows 98 Games Pack on the list.
