XL98: How to Display Custom Function in Function Wizard Step 2 (189166)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q189166 SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, you can create a custom Microsoft
Visual Basic for Applications function to perform calculations. By default,
this custom function will appear in the Function Wizard under the function
category called "User Defined". You can call custom functions with the
Function Wizard in Microsoft Excel just as you call built-in functions.
However, there may be times when you want to use a Visual Basic for
Applications macro to bypass step 1 of the Function Wizard and display a
particular custom function in step 2 of the wizard. This article will
demonstrate how to automatically show step 2 of the Function Wizard with a
macro and have it populated with your custom function.
