OL98: Bitmaps in Message May Not Print Using HP5si MX PCL Driver (188656)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Outlook, when you use a Hewlett-Packard (HP) 5si printer with the HP5si MX PCL printer driver, version 2.51, to print a message you received and the message contains an embedded bitmap, only the text of the message prints. The bitmap is missing.

RESOLUTION

Choose one of the following methods:

  • Use the HP4si MX printer driver.

  • In the Printer Properties, on the Graphics tab, click to select Use Raster Graphics.

  • In the Printer Properties, on the Graphics tab, click to select HP-GL/2 Graphics.

  • Include the bitmap in a Microsoft Word document and send the document in a message as an attachment.
  • Use Microsoft Word as your default message format, and send the bitmap in a new message.
