SYMPTOMS

If you set the hyperlink properties of an object in Microsoft PowerPoint, either through the Action Settings dialog box or through the Edit Hyperlink dialog box, and set the link to another slide in the same presentation, when you return to the Edit Hyperlink dialog box, the Named Location In File box contains a series of numbers followed by the Slide Title, similar to this:

257,2,"Slide Title"

CAUSE

The information in the Name Location In File box is correct. This information identifies the location string of the hyperlink. It is stored in the following format: Slide ID, Slide Number, Slide Title.

NOTE: If the slide has no title, the slide number is used instead, for example, Slide 1.
