SYMPTOMS

When you try to play a .wav file, you may not hear any sound.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are using a Digital ES1888 sound card. This sound card may cause a DMA conflict in your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Digital to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue, or an updated Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) for your sound card.
