SYMPTOMS

When you try to send e-mail to another person, your e-mail program may not start.

CAUSE

This can occur if the e-mail address of the person you want to send mail to has a "friendly" name preceding the e-mail address, and the e-mail program you are using interprets this e-mail address as being invalid. For example:

"cocoa"someone@microsoft.com

To send e-mail in Chat, use any of the following methods:
  • On the Member menu, click Send E-mail.
  • Right-click a member and then click Send E-mail.
