Plus! 98: Unable to Select Multiple Desktop Icons by Drawing Box (187741)

When you use the Garfield Desktop Theme included in Plus! 98, you may be
unable to select multiple desktop icons by drawing a box around them.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the icons are placed within the active content
area of the desktop (the area containing the animated sequence of the ant
with the picnic basket).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:
Method 1
Click outside the active content area of the desktop, and then drag the
mouse to draw a box around the desktop icons you want to select.
Method 2
Move the desktop icons you want to select outside the active content area
of the desktop one icon at a time, and then draw the box around them.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.

The Garfield Desktop Theme included in Plus! 98 uses Macromedia Shockwave
to display the animation in the active content area of the desktop.
