Windows 98 Detects Non-MMX Processor as an MMX Processor (187613)

SYMPTOMS

When you view the System Properties dialog box in Windows 98, you may notice that your non-MMX central-processing unit (CPU) is listed as an MMX CPU.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, ignore the CPU information displayed in System Properties.

This issue does not affect the functionality of Windows 98 or the CPU. This issue has been reported to occur with the following non-MMX CPUs:
