SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you print or print preview a report, resources may be displayed with incorrect tasks.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you print or print preview a report based on the crosstab report, and either the Sort Resources By Project or the Keep Outline Structure options are cleared.

NOTE: The Sort Resources By Project option is only available when the crosstab report Row is set to Resources. The Keep Outline Structure option is only available when the crosstab report Row is set to Tasks.

To confirm that your report is based on a Crosstab Report, follow these steps:

  1. On the View menu, click Reports.
  2. Click Custom, and then click Select.
  3. Click the report that is sorted incorrectly.
  4. Click Edit.
If your report is based on a Crosstab Report, the title of the dialog box will be Crosstab Report.
