WD98: FoxPro and Dbase Database Converters Not in List Files of Type (187229)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Insert Database on the Database toolbar, the database converters for FoxPro and Dbase do not appear under List Files Of Type, even though the converters are properly installed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, click All Files in the List Files Of Type list to open FoxPro and Dbase files.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

Even though the converters do not appear under List Files Of Type, if the FoxPro and Dbase converters are installed properly, Word can correctly convert the files.

NOTE: The database converters are not included with drag and drop installation. You must run the Value Pack Installer to install them. The database converters are installed in the following location:
