SUMMARY

This article lists the issues that are resolved in Microsoft Windows CE 2.0 Service Pack 1.

MORE INFORMATION

Windows CE 2.0 Service Pack 1 resolves the following issues:

  • When you copy large files or multiple files into an ATA Flash, Compact Flash, or SRAM PC Card, the Handheld PC (H/PC) may stop responding (hang).
  • If you copy a folder into another folder with the same name except for the last character, the H/PC may hang. For example, if you copy the Doc folder into the Doc1 folder, the H/PC may hang.
  • Network performance degrades the longer you use a network connection between an H/PC and a desktop computer.
  • When you change one event sound in the Sound tool in Control Panel, other event sounds may also change.
  • When you use Microsoft Outlook version 8.03 or later and you synchronize appointments on an H/PC, your appointments may be scheduled at incorrect times. This issue occurs when you are located in an area in the southern hemisphere that uses daylight saving time.
  • Windows CE 2.0 Service Pack 1 supports the Challenge Handshake Authentication protocol (CHAP) with up to 256 characters, enabling you to connect to a wider variety of Internet service providers (ISPs).
