Cannot View Windows Help in High-Contrast Black (185643)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to view text in the Windows Help tool, the text may not be visible.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if your computer is configured to use the High-Contrast Black color scheme. The background of Windows Help is white, and if it is combined with a High-Contrast Black color scheme, the font color may stay white or a light color, and the text may be unreadable.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the following steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet.
  2. On the General tab, click Accessibility, click the "Ignore colors specified on Web pages" check box to select it.
  3. Click OK, and then click OK.
