XL98: Dragging a Sheet Copies It Instead of Moves It (185417)

When you attempt to move a worksheet in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh
Edition, the worksheet is copied instead of moved.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when you drag a worksheet to another workbook.
WORKAROUND
To move a worksheet in Microsoft Excel 98, follow these steps:
- Ensure that the workbooks to which and from which you are copying are
both open.
- Hold down the CONTROL key and click the tab of the worksheet you want
to move.
- Click Move Or Copy on the shortcut menu that appears.
- When the Move Or Copy dialog box appears, click the workbook to which
the sheet will be moved in the To Book list.
- In the Before Sheet list, click the sheet name you want the moved sheet
to be placed before (to the left of). Click OK.
The sheet is then moved to the specified location.
STATUS
This behavior is by design in Microsoft Excel 98.
