SYMPTOMS

When you synchronize e-mail messages between a desktop computer and a Handheld PC (H/PC), you may receive the following error message:
Outlook.exe caused a stack fault in module Kernel32.dll.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur for either of the following reasons:

  • You converted Microsoft Schedule+ files to Microsoft Outlook 97 files.
  • A recurring appointment in Outlook 97 is damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the latest version of Microsoft Windows CE Services.
