OL98: Agents Tab Not Displayed in Folder Properties (184661)

SYMPTOMS

You try to create a Microsoft Exchange Server Script in a public folder using Microsoft Outlook 98, but the Agents tab does not appear in the folder properties window.

CAUSE

The Server Scripting extension for Outlook 98 is not turned on by default. The Server Scripting option is not enabled on the Exchange Server.

RESOLUTION

To turn on the Server Scripting extension, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Other tab click the Advanced Options
  3. Click Add-In Manager and then click to select the Server Scripting check box. Click OK three times to return to Outlook.
NOTE: It is not possible to have an Agents tab on a Calendar folder.
