XL98: Copy from Object Browser May Not Copy Named Arguments (184365)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q184365 SYMPTOMS
In the Visual Basic Editor for Microsoft Excel 98, named arguments are not
copied when you copy a property, method or function in the Object Browser.
CAUSE
When an item in the Object Browser's Member pane is selected, only the name
of the item is copied to the clipboard.
WORKAROUND
A possible workaround for this issue is to copy the named arguments from
the Object Browser. To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the text of the item and its named arguments in the Detail
section, and then click Copy on the Edit menu.
- Go to the location where you would like to paste the named arguments,
and then click Paste on the Edit menu.
STATUS
This is by design of the Object Browser included with Microsoft Excel 98.
