SYMPTOMS

After you transfer image files to a Handheld PC (H/PC), temporary files may remain inside the Windows\Temp folder on the desktop computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you transfer Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) files to the H/PC.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows CE, version 2.0.

For information about how to delete files from inside the Windows\Temp folder, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Help.
  2. On the Index tab, type "deleting" (without quotation marks), and then double-click Files Or Folders.
  3. Click Deleting A File Or Folder, and then click Display.
